Nottingham Mencap held an Awards Ceremony
on Monday 28th November at Harpenden
House.  Certificates of achievement were
presented to over 100 students for City and
Guilds vocational training and adult literacy and
numeracy.  National Open College Network
certificates were presented in the subject areas
of performing arts, music, catering, gardening
and arts and crafts.

Nottingham Mencap was also awarded the
Outstanding Award for Neighbourhood gardens
in the East Midlands Bloom competition.

Certificates of appreciation were also presented
to our tutors and support workers on the
education and training projects with a special
award of a "Tony" going to Tony Barfield, the
ICT Tutor.  It was upon reading learner
evaluation forms that somebody had suggested
for improvement that we have "more Tony's!"
